Andrea Borghini is Associate Professor of Sociology at Department of Political Sciences, University of Pisa. He mainly investigates topics related to the transformations of the Nation-State, the processes of Global Governance, the Social Control. Among his works are Metamorfosi del potere (2003), Governance and Nation State (2004), Potere simbolico e immaginario sociale (2009), The Social Control as a Form of Care (2011). He has also published some books on Karl Popper’s political and social theory (Karl Popper. Politica e Società, 2000; Sociologia di Karl Popper, 2008).
